We provide assessment and treatment advice for a range of common conditions, including:

Facial & Skin Rashes

  • Allergic or irritant rashes

  • Eczema flare-ups

  • Contact dermatitis

  • Unexplained mild rashes

Skin Infections

  • Cellulitis (bacterial skin infection causing redness, warmth, and swelling)

  • Impetigo (highly contagious superficial skin infection, often with honey-coloured crusts)

Insect & Parasite Conditions

  • Insect bites and local reactions

  • Scabies (intensely itchy rash caused by mites, often worse at night)

Fungal Infections

  • Jock itch (tinea cruris)

  • Athlete’s foot

  • Other mild superficial fungal rashes

Infant & Nappy-Related Conditions

  • Nappy rash

  • Irritant dermatitis in infants and young children

Depending on the condition, symptoms may include:

  • Redness, itching, or irritation

  • Swelling or warmth of the skin

  • Pain or tenderness

  • Blistering, crusting, or weeping skin

  • Circular or spreading rash

  • Itching (often severe in scabies or fungal infections)

  • Discomfort in skin folds (groin, armpits, or under breasts)

  • Visual examination of affected areas

  • Diagnosis and treatment plan

  • Prescription medication if clinically appropriate

We follow evidence-based guidance, ensuring antibiotics and antifungal treatments are only prescribed when necessary.

🚫 Who We Are Unable to See in Clinic

For your safety, we are unable to assess or treat:

  • Severe or rapidly spreading cellulitis with systemic illness (fever, confusion, severe pain)

  • Suspected sepsis or acutely unwell patients

  • Severe allergic reactions (e.g. facial swelling, breathing difficulty)

  • Deep skin abscesses requiring surgical drainage

  • Unexplained changing moles or suspected skin cancer

  • Severe widespread scabies outbreaks in vulnerable care settings requiring public health management

  • Children with severe or worsening infections requiring urgent paediatric assessment

If you have any of the above, please seek urgent care via NHS 111, your GP, or A&E.
